Xbox One Controller Review

We had arrived first taken aback with the Nintendo’s introduction with the Wiimote. Stunned by Sony’s Eyetoy and played some really competitive matches on Kinect Sports. Though exactly what the core gamers want is definitely your standard controller. And we don’t need motion controls to experience games; we demand that we have something in our hand with thumbsticks and triggers. There won’t be Major League Gaming tournaments for Wii Sports, right?

Seeing that I’m at E3 I needed to get hold of a controller through the next generation of consoles. The 1st I acquired to experience with could be the Xbox One’s. Microsoft hasn’t were built with a perfect reputation with controllers- anyone can remember the Duke controller from the original Xbox? Luckily, this controller is a lot more Xbox 360 then this Duke. The very first thing you’ll notice is it looks a little bit bigger than a 360 controller. It is just a fantasy; if anything it felt more at ease and snug during my hands as opposed to previous one ever did.

What is important i think they absolutely had to improve on was the D-Pad. The directional pad around the Xbox 360 console was unresponsive, clunky and merely chaos. On the Xbox One’s version, it’s sleek (in a smart way), fast and it constitutes a delightful click if you apply pressure on the pad. I’m curious to determine how well a fighting game can play with this new controller.



Cod and Halo include the Xbox’s most common games; they’re both shooters and you constantly need to use both analog sticks. So was there ways to help the already great analog sticks from your 360? It sure is like they did. The analog sticks felt sensational looking sturdy and have also been quite accurate. Dare I have faith that console gaming becomes nearer to the accurate feeling of a mouse with a computer?

Another issue I had with the Xbox 360 console gamepad is the Xbox Guide button. It’s perfectly located at the top middle portion of the controller and you can accidentally hit it. Microsoft chose to ensure it is flat (and thus harder to push unintentionally) and put it at the very top in the controller. This is a good position for the button and that i can’t locate lots of people hitting it in the center of gameplay.

Along with the other various upgrades made out of the Xbox 360 console controller, the triggers got some love too, with rumble added to each. This sounds absurd but once you are attempting it for yourself, you’ll start to wonder why we was lacking this before. Once i was playing Forza 5, I used to be power sliding right into a sharp turn as well as feel the tires squeal over the pavement over the trigger rumbles. It was subtle and included with the immersive feeling.

There are just a couple of things I needed complaints about, such as the left and right bumpers. They appear to have built them into quite a bit bigger although playing Crimson Dragon they did not exactly happy when i tried to barrel roll out of methods of projectiles. This could also be a problem with the action however the buttons themselves were just okay. This really is no means a significant issue that i’m sure it’s going to you need to some time becoming familiar with.
